Problem Note 54307: IBM Platform Process Manager might trigger some job flows twice or it might not trigger some job flows at all

Platform Process Manager might trigger some job flows twice within a short time (such as a minute apart), and in other instances, it might not trigger flows at all when the time event arrives. When this problem occurs, it also is possible that connections to Platform Process Manager are unresponsive until the server is restarted.

A patch is available from IBM Platform Computing. Click the Downloads tab on this page to access the patch.

You need to verify your version of Platform Process Manager before you download and apply the patch. This patch is for Platform Process Manager 8.2, build level 186791. You can verify what version you have by running the appropriate command, as described below:

  • For Windows operating environment, enter the following command at a Windows command prompt:
    C:\> "%JS_SERVERDIR%\jfd -V"
  • For UNIX operating environments, source the profile for Platform Process Manager and enter the command shown below. Note: You can omit the first two lines if the profile is sourced already. Note that JS_TOP is the installation directory for Platform Process Manager.
    $ cd JS_TOP/conf $ . ./profile $ $JS_SERVERDIR/jfd -V
